Electric Scooters
An electric scooter is the quickest, cleanest way to cover short city distances without a car, a parking space or a bus timetable, and this collection brings the full range of electric scooters for adults together in one place, alongside lighter options for younger riders. You will find compact foldable commuters, e-scooters with a seat for longer or more comfortable rides, models with large-capacity batteries for real daily distance, and high-power performance machines built for closed private tracks. Across the line-up, motors run from roughly 350 W city commuters up to multi-thousand-watt dual-motor builds, with batteries, brakes, tyres and range sized to match - so there is a fit whether you want a simple street-legal ride capped at 25 km/h or raw off-road performance.

Electric scooter specifications - what they mean
Before you buy, it helps to know what the numbers on a spec sheet mean for the way you will actually ride:
- Motor power (W) - watts drive acceleration, top speed and hill climbing. A single 350-500 W motor is plenty for flat city streets; higher-wattage and dual-motor scooters pull harder from a standstill, hold speed uphill and carry heavier riders without bogging down.
- Battery (V, Ah and Wh) - voltage (V) multiplied by capacity (Ah) gives the energy in watt-hours (Wh). More Wh means more range, but also more weight. Wh is the single best number for comparing how far two scooters will really go.
- Real-world range - the manufacturer figure is measured in ideal conditions. Expect roughly 60-80% of it in practice, and less in cold weather, uphill, into a headwind or with a heavier rider.
- Legal speed (25 km/h) - a light electric vehicle is capped at 25 km/h for public roads and paths. Models with a 25 km/h limit are made for everyday street use; faster, unrestricted scooters are intended for private property and closed tracks.
- Tyres (pneumatic vs solid) - air-filled pneumatic tyres give the best grip and ride comfort but can puncture; solid (honeycomb) tyres never go flat and need no maintenance, at the cost of a firmer ride. Pneumatic suits longer rides and rough surfaces; solid suits low-hassle short commutes.
- Brakes (disc, drum or electronic) - disc brakes give the strongest, most consistent stopping, especially in the wet; drum brakes are enclosed and low-maintenance; electronic or regenerative braking adds control and recovers a little charge. The faster and heavier the scooter, the more braking matters - a combined setup is safest.
- Suspension - front, rear or dual suspension soaks up bumps, kerbs and poor tarmac. It adds comfort and control on rough routes; smooth city riders can do without it and save weight.
- Water resistance (IP rating) - the IP rating (for example IP54) shows how well the scooter shrugs off dust and splashes. A sensible rating means light rain and wet roads are fine; no scooter should be ridden through deep puddles or submerged.
- Weight and max load - lighter, foldable scooters are easier to carry up stairs, onto a bus or into a car boot, while heavier models are usually more powerful and stable. Always check the maximum rider load - staying within it protects range, hill performance and battery life.
Which model is right for you?
- Daily city commuting: a lightweight, foldable e-scooter around 350-500 W with a 25 km/h street-legal cap is ideal for flat urban rides and last-mile trips - easy to fold, carry and store.
- Longer or more comfortable rides: choose a model with a seat and/or a larger battery, plus pneumatic tyres and suspension for comfort over distance.
- Hills, rougher roads and year-round use: step up to a higher-power motor, a bigger-capacity battery and dual suspension so inclines and poor surfaces are no problem.
- Performance and off-road on private land: high-wattage, dual-motor scooters deliver serious speed and torque for closed tracks and private property, well beyond the 25 km/h road limit.
- Younger riders: children need a lighter, slower, smaller-framed scooter - see our dedicated kids electric scooters range instead.
- Going further or arriving less tired: if your trips are longer or hillier than a scooter suits, an electric bike pedals you further with less effort.
